FINALIZATION OF THE NATIONAL SOCIAL PROTECTION POLICY
The global attention for innovative Social protection interventions continues to progressively gain prominence within developing economies.
Such progress has created the need for governments and development partners to strengthen policy and strategic frameworks that support and consolidate the delivery of diverse social assistance programs. The revision of the existing National Social Protection Policy was thus necessitated by the expansion of social protection programmes as well as systems and capacities in Kenya. These expansions brought forth challenges that required realignments of resources, systems, and policies.
